What the scan checks
The detection tool reviews your draft sentence by sentence for two things: text that looks AI-generated, and passages that closely match existing sources. It also reports a readability score.
Reading the results
Flagged sentences show which parts of your draft a marker might look at more closely. The scores are probabilistic: they show how likely something is, not proof, so use them as a guide while you revise.
Why original writing can be flagged
A flag does not mean you did anything wrong. Formal, technical, or heavily edited writing can share patterns with AI-generated text, so genuine work is sometimes flagged. If that happens, read the sentence in context and decide for yourself whether it needs changing.
Responsible use
ISMGenius gives feedback on work you have written yourself; it does not write assignments for you. Follow your school’s rules and be open about the tools you use. See Academic Integrity for more.
